Ok how the heck will you manage to sit at your device for 18 hours flying the plane?? I know thereās autopilot but you have to turn it whenever you reach a waypoint. Sounds like youāve got WAY too much time on your hands⦠have fun I guess!
@International⦠Good on you! GA all the way! Who among you would choose a 3000 mile flight low and slow as compared to the same flight in the stratosphere with nothing but a blank windscreen? Thereās a names for Liner Long Haulers; āGlobal IF Trash Hauling Dronesā. Now for you Global ready GA Pilots here an old route map used in the 40ās FYI. Keep 1927 in mind as you contemplate Global GA routes. If Lindy & the early path finders like Amelia Airhart could do it and so can you!
Max I did was 4 hours on my phone and my tablet and they did good. But I think itās irrelavant to fly 18 hours. If your device do good in 10 hours, then it could survive 18+. The battery might blow up but Iāll survive.
@NismoKits. MaxSez: Modern 8/10 hour legs are a bore on a simulator or in real life. (A/B Global Testers are doing long hauls now. Their the Global XP Grinder Leaders now, theyāve sprung to the top of the heap of the Leader Board supplanting the legends). As noted above with Global Iāll stick with the low slow Legacy Routes no matter what I fly. I wanna see the world and not be distracted twisting the heading change knob as the world turns. No long hauls for me. Iāll stop for lunch and eat a leisure meal at Gas (battery check) Stops. Iāll plan my GA Round the world with @Omari_Joseph utilizing TWA/PanAm route maps. Imagine a 208 on a trans-Pacific on the original Clipper route to Macau. An AvBuffs simulator dream! GA all the way.
