Welcome back to the new End of Month Event Series! It is nearly that time again where we host an event at one of the many 3D airports around the globe. Last time out we had a poll to ask the IFC what the next event should be and you guys have spoken. So I would like to welcome you to join both myself and @BP-Aviation in the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik!
Our featured route for this event will take us from the stunning coast of the Baltic Sea to just South of the Arctic Circle, Reykjavik. We will be flying it on the A220-300. more details will be shared on the day of the event.
Last time for the event we didn’t have route assignments. This time we decided to have assignments and see how it works out. We would highly suggest joining us on our featured route or utilizing some of the suggested routes. However please also feel free to fly a custom route, do keep in mind that all routes need to be realistic. To sign up reply below with the gate and route you want, airline and aircraft are also needed.
Our first featured route is all the way over to Denver in the Icelandair 757-200. It is quite a lengthy hop but one we are sure you will enjoy. Denver is a city in Colorado, USA, quite close to the Rockies Mountain. Denver airport is the largest in the USA and the second largest in the world by land area.
Our Second featured route is a hop over to Glasglow in the UK. This route will once again be flown in the Icelandair 757-200. Glasglow is the largest city by population in Scotland and the 4th largest in the United Kingdom. The city is famous for its performing arts culture hosting almost all of Scotland’s universities for the same.
Our third daily featured route is a flight over to Central Europe, landing in the capital of Poland, Warsaw. This route is flown on the Wizz Air A321neo after recently taking over from the original A321, due to the aircraft available to us in IF we will be using the A321. This city is famous for its many beautiful churches, however, not many know that it is the 7th most-populous city in the EU! So come and join us on this wonderful route in the event.
If you would like to join please sign up in the thread and we can assign you a gate!
Our fourth daily featured route is a flight to the Nordic countries up North, landing in the capital of Sweden, Stockholm! This flight in real life is a codeshare between SAS and Icelandair and is flown on Icelandair’s B757-200. This beautiful city has some stunning architecture and views from the river! Fun fact about Stockholm, the Stockholm region account for more than a third of Sweden’s GDP and is in the top 10 regions in Europe ranked by GDP per Capita. So please feel free to join us on this event! Hope to see you there!
Our fifth daily featured route is another flight to the Nordic countries, landing this time in the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen! This stunning city has grown so much from the time it was founded, back in the 10th century when it was just a small Viking fishing village. However, over time as the city grew it became one of the largest cities in Denmark until in the 15th Century it was made the capital. So please feel free to join us on this event! Hope to see you there!
Continuing the theme of nordic countries we have Oslo. The city is the capital of Norway being the most populous. It is also the economic capital of the country as well as the governmental centre. This route will be flown on the beautiful 757-200 by IcelandAir.
We are finally moving away from our addiction with Nordic countries that has exhibited the past few days and taking a trip Austria. We offer a route that has been temporarily stopped for the last 2 months to Vienna today, despite being put on hold, it has been announced this route will be back in January. Vienna in my opinion is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, if not the world, opening up Austria to tourists from all around the world. The route is flown on the Austrian Airlines A321 and has views of some stunning land scape! So if this route takes your fancy, sign up below!
The next suggested route is taking a quick hop across the pong from Europe to head to the bustling streets of the Midwest, Chicago! Sat on the shores of Lake Michigan this massive and populous city is filled with life, culture and food! With nice walks down the massive lake and delicious street food from the hotdog carts what more could you want! A lesser known fact about Chicago, is that the Chicago Metropolitan Area is one of the largest in the world. The route is flown on the United flying pencil, so should be an interesting one! Please feel free to sign up for this amazing route below!
