Welcome to the historic Filipino capital of Manila, located on the eastern shore of Luzon Island! The city has so much history, dating all the way back to the 1200s when the first iteration of modern day Manila was founded… a small city called Maynila. Over that next 5-7 centuries, rule was under the Spanish as they took control of southeast Asia and many pacific islands including Guam and The Marianas.
Today, Manila is a thriving metropolis, and is one of the most populated urban areas on the globe! It has amazing architectural structures that reflect its long history including the Manila Metropolitan Theater, The Manila Cathedral and many many museums!
