Hey all, the event is happening later today at 1800Z. There are still a couple of available frequencies so don’t hesitate to ping me if you want to participate. Let’s bring Turkey alive for those two hours ! :)

Where would recommended me to fly to from Dalamam-Bodrum or Izmir? Thanks!

I haven’t flown those routes yet to be honest, but the three approaches are pretty nice.
From what I’ve seen, Bodrum is probably the nicest even though I could also recommend you Dalaman as a second choice ;)

@Sebastien_Cartier Thank you for the event but i have one question. I was approaching LTBS while you were on the frequency. you instructed me to turn right 160 & maintain 4000 until established on the localizer. I perform this immediately but when i settled at 160 degrees, i wad above glide slope by 1000 ft. This happened to me 2 or 3 times approaching other airports. As you guys are expert, i assume this is my fault and i wonder what is wrong with me?! please help me. thanks

Thanks for coming !
The glide slope at this airport is a tad steeper than at other airports. The only reason I gave the intercept at 4000ft was that there is terrain at the start of the approach cone so it was mainly to avoid any separation busts.
Maybe it was because of your vertical speed ? Generally, -1500fpm is a good descend speed so maybe it was because of this. I’ll have to investigate that more :p
