Hello everyone and welcome! We are so very excited to celebrate 1 year of operations this month with you, which includes this lovely group flight event commemorating our IRL counterparts’ first flight back in October, 2021
Since being founded in Feburary of 2024 and beginning operations in June, ITAV has emassed over 1800 routes among ITA, Alitalia, AirOne, and our 21 amazing codeshare VA’s; over 35 pilots; hosted 20 internal events and attended 5+ IFC events with other VA’s, and the numbers are only rising! We sincerly hope y’all can join us in our celebrations, and can’t wait to see all of the beautiful blue A320’s soaring across Italy’s skies

As previously mentioned, for our event we will be taking our flagship A320 from our hub at Milan Linate, 1hr m southeast to the beautiful Apulian capital of Bari Often referred to as the “heel” of the Italian boot, this region boasts beautiful beaches on the Adriatic Sea, many historical sights including The Castel del Monte which is a UNESCO heritage sight, and it’s highly influencial contributions with olive oil and wine production! Fun Fact, this region accounts for over 40% of Italy’s olive oil production each year!
During the flight, we will get to see some of Italy’s most beautiful landcapes including a departure at the foothills of the might Alps, before climbing to cruising altitude over the farmlands of north-central Italy! After this we will fly over the city state of San Marino and many costal cities including Ancona, and Pescara, we will begin our descent into Bari over il Parco national del Gargano!

If any VA’s would like to join, please reach out to us via “dm” on IFC, or via the thread on the IFVARB discord server. Due to this being a group flight, no option will be available for other routes and aircraft; we hope this limitation is understanble.
