Hello! I started playing IF in Oct 24, and the rule was under 260 kts below 10k ft…
I remembered seeing somewhere that it was 250 kts below 10k ft in IF once upon a time? When did the change happen and why? Any chance we will get the limit back to 250? Asking for a friend 😁
I’m pretty sure that it is a 10kt leeway so that if winds cause the airspeed to creep up slightly above 250kts then you won’t get a violation. Ideally you should still maintain ≤ 250kts under 10,000 feet 🙂
Because IRL no one will care if you’re doing 251kts at 9,999ft. I assume that’s why.

IRL you indicated airpseed of 250kts is always higher than your Ground Speed, that’s why you must lower your speed for trafic regulation and your approach to the airport.
