About The Airport
the Airports ICAO is EDDG and its name Münster/Osnabrück because its based between this two big citys and both citys giving it financal help. The Airport was opend in 1972. in the time from opening till now it had bad and good times in 2019 it reached for the first time in 19 years over 1 Million passengers. the Airport now operates just holiday flight to destinations in the Turkey, Balearic islands and to some german Airports.
sometimes the Airport gets Special visitors like The HiFly A340 or ages ago BA Concord.
every year the Airport has an summer festival where you get free seightseeing tours at the Airport and teh German Airforce visits with an old Transall or an A400M.
right now in the Pandemic at the Airport is nearly no Traffic just the GA Traffic no Airliner is flying there right now. The Airport is now als used as vaccination center.
