SAS Virtual (SASV) and Icelandic Virtual (FIVA) are proud to announce a joint event uniting in the skies over the Nordic region on the eve of the Winter Solstice. Come explore the Artic Nights in an all day event where the sun will remain just a glimmer on the horizon and the night will feel like it never ends.

Fire up the synthwave and dust off those aviator shades (yes you too can wear sunglasses at night) it’s time to fly Arctic Nights! SAS Virtual (SASV) and Icelandic Virtual (FIVA) are teaming up for a northern lights lit group flight from Copenhagen (EKCH) to Reykjavík (BIKF) on the eve of the winter solstice. Expect cold air, dark skies, and glowing auroras as we cruise through the Nordic night (1980s style). Don’t miss this one… the Arctic is calling!

Although we will be highlighting this specific route, we welcome all VAs to fly their own route to BIKF. If your VA is interested in joining, please reach out to SASV or FIVA and we will be happy to add you.

@SuisseVirtual will be flying from LSZH to BIKF on an Edelweiss A320 and are scheduled to arrive at the same time as our main group flight. It will be great to see the traffic lining up over the Icelandic skies!

@MexicoVirtual will be flying from MMMX to BIKF, meaning we now will have flights from the East, West, and South to light up the night!

Another day, another two VAs joining, making now nine VAs so far.

We are pleased to announce that @GOL_Intelligent_VA will be taking a break from their summer southern hemisphere weather to be joining us for the group flight from EKCH to BIKF on the SAS A320!

We are also excited to announce that @flySkyalpsVirtual will be flying from one Nordic island to another as they fly from EKVG to BIKF on the always fun DH8D, arriving slightly before the main group flight!

@ShenzhenAirlinesVA will be flying the main route from EKCH to BIKF departing at 1200z.

@StarluxVirtual will also be joining the group flight from EKCH to BIKF departing at 1600z.

It’s great to see such involvement from a diverse set of VAs to light up the arctic night!

We will basically now have two waves, one departing at 1200z and one at 1600z. Meaning you can land at any point from 1400-2000z and likely see traffic at BIKF!
