After all of the positive feedback and requests for another mix after I released my 2017 Infinite Flight Community Mixtape this past summer, I decided it was time to throw down one more for the community featuring some of my favorite songs I’ve come across in 2017.
2017 was a huge year for me in both music and aviation. I was able to purchase my own DJ equipment during the summer, I had the opportunity to DJ my high school’s dances as well as parties and weddings, and I even made a mix for my local amusement park which was played in front of nearly 100,000+ people in one weekend.
I made this mix to give you all something fresh to listen to since it’s been about half a year since I released my last one exclusively for the IF Community. This mix features some of my favorite tracks I have come across this past year. Unlike the Community Mixtape where I had the help of the community make the mix along with me, this one is solely created by myself over the span of a couple weeks. Because of that, I tried to use a lot of music that is both appealing and/or relatable to my life, whether it be the lyrics or fusion of bass and classical music that I have been digging for a while now (especially since I played the violin for nearly 10 years). As you will hear in the mix, The Chainsmoker’s latest album, “Memories… Do Not Open” is full of songs that I have included in it for those two reasons.
With that, I’m proud to present my second release for the community: 2017 Year in Review.
Tracklist will be released at 250 views. Free download at 500 views.
Regulars: You can expect the thread for the 2018 Community Mix to appear in the #lounge a few months from now. Might not be a bad idea to start compiling some of your favorite songs! 😉
Note: As with my previous community mix, this one does contain explicit content. Parental advisory recommended.
Great work. I loved the Shelter tour intro in there, reminds me of the A Moment Apart (ODESZA) opening. Both great tours. Also the San Holo remix towards the end was fire :)
Shelter Tour was no doubt one of the best, if not the best tours ever in EDM history. Music and visuals were some of the best I’ve ever seen on a tour. I would’ve done anything to see it in person, but unfortunately it’s never going to happen again :(
I actually have all the tracks from the Shelter Tour (most of which are unreleased edits specifically for the Tour) that I can send your way if you’re interested.
What an amazing job! Honestly, I wanted to buy some DJ equipment for the longest time. I lost interest not to long ago, but your backstory makes me feel I should make the investment. :)
I can’t wait until my mom comes home so I can listen to this! xD
In all seriousness, I’ve been waiting for another one of these for a while now. They’re actually really good and a nice addition to the community
