20.1 Center ATC

20.1 is supposed to be coming out soon with many features such as the 777-200ER rework etc.
One of the features to come is a new role for ATC which is Center.
Can someone explain what Center is?
I get that its en route but where and how will it opperate?
Thanks.

Have a look at this tutorial first, and feel free to ask any questions you may still have after studying it :)

Center is basically a frequency which operates above Appr and Tower up zo 60000ft. It helps spacing People when starting their descent before Appr takes over and generally Monitors the cruise. Centers Area is much bigger though. Its often bigger than some states in the USA

Just worried if im asleep and i get ghosted πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

No - the controller will be able to see if you are away and won’t ghost you.

If you didnt touch your screen longer than about 2 Minutes they will be able to see this and wont contact you
