19SEP20 /1300Z-1440Z - An ANTARCTIC flyout! [Exploring the Extraordinary - Vol1] @ NZSP

Exploring The Extraordinary - [Vol 1]

Presented to you by @anon17115501 and @tunamkol

Welcome to the first event of our Exploring the Extraordinary series! In this series me and @tunamkol will be featuring fly outs at extraordinary airports people nearly never fly to.

The South Pole Station Flyout!

This event will be taking at the Amundsen Scott Station, located literally next to the South Pole. The South Pole is the coldest place on earth, the temperature can go down to -73 degrees celsius!

The “airport” of Amundsen Scott Station is usually used for tours coming from different places, such as Ushuaia or Cape Town. These routes are listed below. However, normally these routes are operated by a IL76, which isn’t available in IF, therefore we will be using the BBJ as a substitute. This airport has a 12010 feet long snow runway.

We believe this is a first in IF.

@Alec you can’t spawn those planes there, we tried, even though that is the most realistic plane.

Also can I use a 737-800 Aerolineas Argentinas, they did this tourist route (obviously not in the 737). It’s an experimental route for my VA :)

@Stellar_G, we can open an exception and you can use the Aerolineas Argentinas 737-800, we put the bbj as default because the range is longer, but I can open an exception for you

Also, the 738 can make it in 2k nm, but the 2,500k+ routes need a BBJ

Ok thanks, the 737-800 has about 8hours of fuel so I should make it.
Fun fact that NZSP-SAWH was my first ever global route, it was in a F22 :)

Glad to hear that ;-)
