It’s almost May, and that means it’s almost time for the bi-annual Power in the Pines Airshow at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst!
The Power in the Pines Airshow has been a staple of New Jersey tourism for many years, typically operating on a bi-annual schedule. This May it returns for the 2nd time since the past pandemic cancelled everything. To celebrate this, I’m hosting this fly-in to the base!
Information about the area & show: McGuire Air Force Base is situated in the heart of New Jersey, just 35 miles east of Philadelphia International and 60 miles southwest of JFK Airport. It has two operational runways, and plenty of parking spots. The show itself has plenty of performers, including (not limited to):
- USAF Thunderbirds
- USAFA Wings of Blue Parachute Team
- Many demonstrations from aircraft in the 305th Air Mobility Wing
Please feel free to come out and enjoy both the fly-in and the airshow itself!
It’s recommended that you use military aircraft for the fly-in!
