Youre right on queue with that request - even though the FCO-BOS is one of ITAās last remaining A330ceo routes, its due to start seeing NEO service in about a month!

We believe it has been a bit too quiet over here. Instead of just giving a generic āevent bumpā, weād like to share some fun facts about Fiumicino Internatonal Airport to get everyone excited for the event in just about 1 monthsā time - all crafted by our amazing Pilot Operations Manager @Ivan0921!
- It handled 50 milion pax in 2024
- It was opened early, just in time for the 1960 Olympics in Rome
- A portion of the original terminal building still remains in use today in an unrenovated state
- It used to have a fourth runway - a runway 16C/34C, which is today a taxiway
- It is due to start a massive terminal expansion in the coming years, to push capacity to 80 million pax per year
- ITA is FCOās biggest airline, carrying between upwards of 25% of passengers
- It was voted best airport in Europe by ACI for five years in a row
- It was one of the first airports in Europe to have an automatic passenger train connecting terminals

Unfortunately for RJ102, the B787-8 Dreamliner is not a realistic aircraft. It is operated on the A320 and E190 - We can give either of those 2 aircraft but not the 787.

Event Announcement
As of early this week, ITA Virtualsā Rome flyout is now marked as an official community event by Infinite Flight Staff! With this, all specific gate assigments have been removed for the event as well as IFATC assigmnets. The Event managment Team has instead crafted a list of ITA Airways, Alitalia, and select star alliance and nonaffiliated airline routes to help inspire the community on what flights can be flown from Rome on event day!! If any IFATC members would like to provide services for our event, it is still very greatly appreciated by all within and outside of ITA Virtual Airways!
