Haikou Details
Haikou, the capital of Hainan province in China, is a vibrant coastal city with a population of over 2.3 million, known for its tropical climate, cultural heritage, and economic growth. Attractions such as Qilou Old Street and scenic waterfront areas draw visitors year-round. Its airport, Haikou Meilan International Airport (HAK/ZJHK) now operates with two terminals, enhancing the city’s connectivity. The newly opened Terminal 2, alongside the existing Terminal 1, offers modern facilities and expanded capacity for both domestic and international flights, supporting Haikou’s role as a key gateway to Hainan’s tourist destinations, including the resort city of Sanya.
