Operation Snowfall - Zurich Fly-in/Fly-out Event

Hey IFC! The festive season is just around the corner, and we’re kicking it off in true Swiss style. 
On December 13th, join us for a fly-in/ out at Zurich (LSZH), a city that transforms into a winter wonderland every December. From its sparkling Christmas markets to the snow-covered Alps on the horizon, Zurich truly captures the magic of the holidays.
This event is extra special for us it’s the first official event since our rebrand, marking a new era for SUISSE Virtual. We’ve built something fresh, elegant, and full of character, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate it than bringing the community together over the festive skies of Switzerland.
To make this celebration even more special, the day will be packed with festive flying! Our SUISSE pilots will kick things off early with a magical round trip to the North Pole flying to Svalbard (Longyearbyen, LYR) aboard the Edelweiss A320. This symbolic journey to one of the world’s northernmost airports will set the perfect festive tone as we chase the Arctic sunrise and bring the Christmas spirit back home to Zurich.
After our return and a short break at headquarters, we’ll switch into our SWISS fleet and take to the skies once more. This time, we’ll head south towards the majestic Alps, soaring above snow-covered peaks and breathtaking valleys, a true postcard flight that captures the heart of Switzerland in winter.
We’ll then make our way back to Zurich, where the celebration reaches its highlight: two formation flyovers! The first will take us gracefully over Runway 28, followed by a wide loop towards Runway 16, offering everyone on the ground a stunning aerial show to remember.
And that’s not all, below, you’ll find a selection of featured routes specially chosen for the day. But as always, you’re more than welcome to fly in or out of Zurich on any route of your choice.
