Join me and @United403 at Antalya Airport (AYT/LTAI) for a breezy afternoon of flying in one of the Middle East’s most scenic resort cities! This event will take place from 2025-05-10T18:00:00Z to 2025-05-10T19:00:00Z on the Expert Server.
Picture this: you’re lying on a peaceful beach, staring at the sky, enjoying the cool breeze. Where are you? Hawaii? Florida? Fiji?
How about Turkey?
Antalya is a coastal resort city tucked on the southern coast of the Anatolian peninsula. Surrounded by mountains and hugged by a bay to the south, Antalya attracts millions of visitors every year, drawn to the picturesque beaches and warm weather. Likewise, Antalya Airport receives millions of passengers every year. It’s the third busiest airport in Turkey and one of the top fifty busiest airports in the world. In 2021, it was one of the only airports worldwide to meet or exceed passenger numbers from the 2010s. It is serviced by a variety of mainline, charter, and low-cost carriers, providing a good assortment of routes for the airport.
This flyout will not have gate assignments. Rather, attendees will be allowed to select whatever gate they’d like and fly whatever aircraft they’d like to whatever realistic destination they choose.
I did this because Antalya receives a lot of traffic from European charter operators that aren’t in the game—if I made gates for this event, many wouldn’t be very attractive to attendees because the airlines aren’t even in this game. Also, Antalya has many beautiful and scenic routes that can be flown on a variety of aircraft; it would be restrictive of me to say only one person can fly any specific route.
That said, here are some awesome flights you can do out of Antalya I think you all might like! The choice is your as to which you’d like to take—you don’t have to ask or tell me.

Simply mark yourself as going, and you will be notified as the event gets closer. It’s that easy!
Will I be getting a confirmation ticket?
No, you won’t — because there are no assigned gates, you won’t need one.
What if someone is already doing the flight I want to take?
You can both do it! Again, no gates means no assigned routes, which means you can fly whatever route you’d like.

- This airport is 3D and supports Auto Pushback.
- Please listen to all ATC instructions and requests. If you have problems with the controller’s decisions, do not combat them in the game. Instead, report them privately to a senior IFATC staff member.
- If ATC is temporarily disconnected, please consider a it ground stop. All aircraft at the gate must remain at the gate and no aircraft may take off until ATC has reconnected. Taxiing aircraft may continue taxi. This will remain true until ATC reconnects or informs us that they cannot reconnect.
- If ATC is not present, please conduct yourself in an orderly and realistic fashion. Do not cut in front of others or enter an active runway. Any violations of decency may be reported in a private message to me and, given sufficient evidence, I will ban the offending user from my future events.
- Pilots must be a minimum of Grade 3 to attend this event as it is on the expert server.
