So now I reached 1000 flight hours on Infinite Flight. I started in May 2025 and loved staying in the air.

how does one obtain 4.2 million xp in 6 months? i been playing since 2019 and i have 600k, i deleted numerous times but holy

I guess it’s background flying which gives you more xp than without it for some weird unknown reason.
I don’t mind. Copying is harmless to me, so I don’t mind you copying me. In fact, I’m surprised and a little happy someone did.
Yeah, that’s mainly from AP+ long haul flights. I don’t know how they count that. But actually I don’t care about XP. Flight hours and landings are much more important to me. And no vios, even more.

I just now realized this. How do you have more LANDINGS than FLIGHTS? Are you doing pattern work a lot to get that amount of landings?
Yes. At first I did pattern work to get the needed landing count to level up. Then I found out it helps me to get better at visual and manual runway alignment and crosswind landings.
At the beginning I was struggling with the crosswind landings, but now I feel much more confident.
So still, once in a while, I do nothing else for some hours, doing pattern work.
How am I day late..!? Idk..
But damn someone else with 1000 hours yet I’m here and I didn’t even hit 500

This is not the first or last time someone will ask this, I’m sure! But how does the XP system work?
Has it suffered significant changes in the past couple of years? I as well have around 4 million points of XP, yet I’ve flown for almost 5000 hours more than you (no hate haha, just comparing). To be honest, it’s not something that I care about, I’m here to fly and take nice photos 
but your stats caught my attention and I had to make my question! 
It’s from long haul flights using AP+. When checking back in and resuming the flight and going back into AP+, every time doing cycle raises the given XP.
Often, when I do long hauls, I don’t even close the game after landing to save the flight. At the gate, I refuel, make new flight plan and go for another long haul flight.
Clever! It makes sense since most of my flight time is from 2020-22, when AutoPilot+ wasn’t a thing. Congrats on your first 1k!
