10 Years of the Infinite Flight Community

Hello Infinite Flight Community! Along with the anniversary of IF, later this week marks the 10 year anniversary of the Infinite Flight Community Forums! In these 10 years 254,471 people have joined, 8.1 million likes have been gifted, and there were 7,000 active users in the past week… isn’t that insane?

I want to thank everyone on this community… from our 13 wonderful moderators, to our 9 wonderful staff, and of course: @infiniteflight-bot!

This community is massive reason that I am still playing Infinite Flight after 6 years: I’ve met amazing people, including one of my most dear friends @Mort, who is coming to visit very very soon. I am so grateful for this amazing community and the love that comes with being a member of it.

Man. 10 years. Ive only been here for a year and I’ve made so many memories and friends with this platform. Can’t imagine all those people who have been here from the start and how many memories they’ve made. My favorite memories ive had are:

  • my 1st ever flyout
  • my Cross the Pond Event
  • hosting infinite flight Oshkosh
  • making all the friends that i have made
  • All the flash flights and events ive attended
  • all the competitions ive been in

Yk what, everything has been my favorite memory :relieved_face:

Huh. Just realized I’ve been around for half those years. Pretty neat. Favorite moment is a hard one but probably the broken binoculars was one of the best :laughing:

Today I learned that approximately 1 in every 329 likes ever given on this platform was given to me, pretty wild.

I’ve had a lot, but Spotting Competition 2021 (Thread + PM) has to be the funniest couple months I’ve had on the forum.

At the top of my list is meeting all of my online friends - You know who you are :heart:
Closly following that is the 50+ events I’ve hosted since joining IFC in 2022, and founding ITAV with @Ryan_15, @Mort, @Prestoni, @Mann1164, @Ivan0921, @CedricFlys and @Ethan_Brown :italy:!!

Can’t believe IFC is 10 years old and I will soon be celebrating my 3rd cake cay in about 7 weeks! Cheers to everyone on the forum for another 10 years :clinking_glasses:

Meeting NonStops, Adam and MAviation are probably the biggest highlights for me in my year on the IFC so far
But @Riley_Dupont is up there too!

Here’s to many more years of IF! It’s been a journey!

Having been here on this forum for (roughly) three quarters of that time - its been an amazing place and I hope it continues to be so. :slight_smile:

10 years, wow!
My favorite memory is probably my Chicago Midway Flyout! It was a huge success and it’s my home airport that I wanted to shed some light on.

Shoutout to @LuckyRc for doing atc and @MAviationYT for making a video about it!

Nothing will ever beat the FNF C-17 cargo event in France. That was the peak moment of this community.

Hands down, meeting all the incredible people I’ve met over the years on the IFC!

This stats are insane. That’s like if everyone in Madison, Wisconsin was on the IFC and everyone in New York City gave a like.

I’m very excited!
