I cannot believe I’m saying this… but I hit 1,000 flight hours on an overnight flight, New York-Jeddah the other day… I know it’s not that much compared to many, but it’s a pretty big milestone imo. I got infinite flight in September 2021, and got pro in December of 2022. Since I got pro, I have racked up this incredible amount of flight hours. For comparison, here is a map of all of my flights I’ve ever done that I made:
Believe it or not, the flights I have completed are around double the amount of flights that are shown, and this is because of routes I fly frequently. For example, I’ve flown jfk-Srq over 50 times (💀). In the past 6 months alone I have flown over 30 transatlantic flights.
To put in perspective how long 1,000 hours is OVER 40 days, or about 6 weeks of my iPad screen running infinite flight. The distance I’ve flown is equivalent to flying to the moon and (almost) back, as well as circling the globe almost 25 times.
If I where to describe to you what type of flights I do, it would be complicated… the majority of the flights I do are in/within the east coast of the United States, as that is where I live. International flights from here are 8-12 hours long (usually) so I can do a perfectly timed overnight flight. Occasionally, I do random flight routes from different parts of the world, although you may notice I for some reason don’t fly very much to the continents of Asia, Africa, and South America… I guess the reason I don’t fly there often is their distance from where I live. Flights there are very lengthy, and I don’t do them too often. I would like to change this someday soon, by maybe doing domestic flights within these continents.
All I can say to conclude this, is a thank you to infinite flight. The community, the community members, developers, moderators, coders, designers, 3d modelers, and everyone else that is a part of this journey. It has prepared me well in knowledge of aviation, a career path I have been interested in since I was a toddler. Whilst I’m too young to get a ppl, I have recently started on and off flight lessons in the crowded airspace of NYC, in which I am great full I haven’t walked into blindly… thanks to this simulator.
Happy flying 🫡
*May recreate my first flight with pro, very unrealistic… it was an American Airlines old livery 757, Albany-jfk *
