St. Louis Lambert International Airport - KSTL

St._Louis_Lambert_International_Airport_logo

Welcome to St. Louis Lambert International Airport! (IATA: STL, ICAO: KSTL) Formerly known as “Lambert-St. Louis International Airport” is the busiest and largest airport in the State of Missouri. The airport was named after “Albert Bond Lambert”, a St. Louis Aviator and an Olympic medalist. The airport served over 15.9 million passengers, and unfortunately went down due to the pandemic and served 6,302,402 passengers in 2020. The airport is not as busy as it used to be in the 1950s-2000s during the TWA era, as bigger and better airports have taken the spotlight from KSTL. Since then, it now serves a little over 15 airlines and Southwest Airlines has become the number 1 airline serving at KSTL, serving over 4,291,000 passengers!

Welcome to Springfield-Branson National Airport, our next departure airport at this event!
Springfield-Branson National Airport (IATA: SGF, ICAO: KSGF) is a small regional airport in southwest Missouri. The airport was formerly known as Springfield–Greene County Airport, Springfield Municipal Airport, and Springfield–Branson Regional Airport. The airport serves 4 airlines in 13 different cities nonstop in the United States. Their biggest airline is Allegiant Airlines, which serves 7 nonstop destinations, and will serve a new route to Punta Gorda in Florida a few days after this event takes place. The airport also serves 3 cargo airlines, which would be DHL, UPS, and FedEx Express.

Branson Airport - KBBG

Welcome to Branson Airport (IATA: BKG, ICAO: KBBG)! Branson Airport is a small airport laying on a plateau, near the border of Missouri and Arkansas. The airport only serves Frontier Airlines to 12 destinations. The airport only has 4 gates and a ton of GA Gates. Sun Country Airlines and AirTran were the starting airlines when the airport opened, but AirTran was bought out by Southwest Airlines, and Sun Country terminated services. Frontier Airlines has been the longest-serving airline at Branson but has been going on and off for services. Southwest Airlines was originally going to operate in 4 different locations from Branson in 2014, but they terminated service a few months after they started.

Jefferson City Memorial Airport - KJEF

Welcome to Jefferson City Memorial Airport (IATA: JEF, ICAO: KJEF)! Jefferson City is a very small, GA airport. The airport has not served a lot of passengers ever since Ozark Airlines left KJEF to go to KCOU in 1968. There are not any gates here at Jefferson City, and the airport is used for General Aviation. The airport does not have a logo either (the logo on the welcome banner was a sign)

Kansas City International Airport - KMCI

image

Welcome to Kansas City International Airport (IATA: MCI, ICAO: KMCI)! Kansas City International Airports is one of the two large airports in Missouri, the other being KSTL, featured in the event. It was originally called Mid-Continent International Airport. The Airport serves 12 airlines, 3 cargo airlines, with 88 nonstop destinations, with only 2 of those being international destinations. In recent years, Kansas City International has been rebuilding and renovating a lot of the airport, and building better features, such as supporting bigger aircraft, better service to passengers, etc. 2 years ago, Terminal A was destroyed and is now being rebuilt, expected to finish in 2023, being a 1.5 billion dollar project.

If IFATC is not present, please be aware of your surroundings when on the ground or in the air. Use unicom to announce what you will be doing.
Use Simbrief, FPLtoIF or other flight plan generators to generate your flight plan. SIDs and STARs must be used to have a smooth way in and out of airports.
Maintain a 1000ft and 5nm separation from the plane behind you or ahead of you.
Most importantly, be sure to have fun!
